The Seventh Bend community recently gathered to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, in an event organised by YourLand.

Held at the scenic Conservation Avenue Playground and Park, the celebration brought residents and visitors together for a lively day filled with cultural activities and community connection.

The event featured a high-energy performance from Bhangra Roots dance school, setting the stage for a day of fun. Attendees enjoyed hands-on activities for all ages, including arts and crafts, Diwali hand art, henna, face painting, and giant games. For refreshments, Mr Barista served freshly brewed coffee, and Two Fat Indians and Shiva Indian food trucks provided an array of delicious food.

The celebration reflected the joy and spirit of Diwali, bringing people together in a warm, welcoming environment. Thank you to everyone that attended – as you can see from the photos, it was a fun filled day with a vibrant atmosphere, making it a memorable event for all.
